Yes, Mario and Luigi are back on the NES once again with the release of Super Mario Bros. 3. Taking back the gameplay to its origins, Super Mario Bros. 3 plays much like the original 2D side-scrolling adventure, Super Mario Bros, but has a different plot. The story revolves around Bowser’s return together with his minions, the Koopalings, and is wrecking havoc on the seven regions of Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi, on Princess Toadstool’s behalf, embark once again in a journey to stop Bowser’s evil ambitions. Of course, this game comes with some cool new stuff to check out.

This game focuses heavily on the seven regions of Mushroom Kingdom, and has seven different worlds to travel to, each having their own characteristics. You also get to travel to an eighth world, Bowser’s Kingdom.
The game now features and overworld map which shows the entire Mushroom Kingdom. In the overworld map, you can choose which path to take and which world to go to.
Super Mario Bros. 3 has a feature that allows you to use suits. By gaining a suit, Mario is endowed with new abilities that help him beat the game. For example, when obtaining the Frog Suit Mario will be able to swim faster in the water, and obtaining the Hammer Suit will allow Mario to throw hammers at enemies.
In the end, Super Mario Bros. 3 was a fantastic game, introducing new concepts and designs that will be seen in future releases of the Mario series.
